QIU Gyosa

QIU

Gyosa is a traditional Chinese dish, also known as Jiaozi derived from the word jiao, which translates to "horned."

With this in mind, we found a name that would pay hommage to the history of gyosas: QIU or qiulong is an expression that refers to a dragon with horns. This name was chosen for the kitchen brand name, as it is short, phonetic and "cute".
The slogan Gyosas Deliciozas, comes from Deliciozas, which was suggested by the spacial design group and it was important to include "gyosas" since the name QIU, is not direct.
There are 3 gyosas as the symbol/mascot of the brand.
Traditionally, gyosas are crescent-shaped half-moons that come from an ancient Chinese coin, representing luck and health. But there are other ways to fold the gyosas, as a symbol/mascot of the brand we have 3 gyosas, each one with a different shape and expression. They work to accompany the whole project, but in particular in 2 parts: representing the 3 preparation zones of the gyosas and identifying the meat/vegetable gyosas.
These have a simple and "cute" design, with just an outline and rounded edges.
Based on this we had the chromatic palette of: black, red and white. Due to its connection with Chinese culture and being appealing. But we decided to tone it down in order to modernize and give it more coherence. The black becomes dark brown, the red becomes more orange, and the white becomes beige.
